GOODBYE 2015!!!

Hi Everyone,

We are now at the most sad or exciting point of the year, HOLIDAY’S!!! I am also graduating year 6, and it is my last day today. And CHRISTMAS!!!

I am so sad to be leaving junior school and all my old teachers. It is also sad becuase some of my friends are leaving to school too. It is sad to think that I am leaving where are technically grew up. It is like moving out of your house, not easy (not that I would know). It isn’t easy to leave everything behind but I will still take the memories.

But let’s not focus on the negative, but the positives. In high school, I hear you get a lot more independence. You aren’t constantly being controlled by the teachers (not that they actually do that in junior school). High school, I’m sure will be lots of fun and an enjoyable experience.

I will miss all my friends all so much, But you have to grow up at some point!

FISH!

Hi Everyone,

Raise your Voice!

Hi everyone,

This week as apart of school, I am writing a blog post on the topic ‘Raise you Voice’. Now most people are doing something like an issue, but I am taking this literally.

A lot of people are very shy and timid. They are too afraid o speak up. They lack what you need the most, self-confidence. When you have self-confidence you believe in yourself and there are no limits to what you can do. If you have an opinion about something, then you go ahead and ‘Raise you Voice’! You need to give everything your all and never give up, because if you can do those few things, then you will be able to accomplish great things in the future. So, speak up for what you believe in, weather it is about animals or refugees, your opinion will always count. We can make a difference together. We start small and then we will be able to live in the happy, peaceful world that everyone has dreamed of. You can make a difference, and ‘Raise you Voice’!

I hope that was helpful and what could be the start of a big difference.

Until next time,

Bye!

My Adventure Story Week 9!

Hi everyone,

I am super excited to share with you the final chapter of my adventure story. But before that here is a quick recap on what has happened in my story so far, Ellie (the main character) loves running, but her parents don’t want her to go alone, so one night she sneaks out and goes to all sorts of different, mythical lands by climbing through to hollows of willow trees. But she can’t find her way home! To find her way home she goes through all the hollows in the willow trees that she can find, until she goes through one hollow in a willow tree that takes her to someone else’s house. Oh no, what is she going to do now?

The options were:

a) Ellie falls out of the cupboard and is exposed.

b) Ellie disappears.

c) Ellie is sucked back to where she came from.

You all voted for a, Ellie falls out of the cupboard and is exposed.

Here is chapter 7, hope you like it:

Chapter 7

I hear footsteps approaching me. I scramble myself, up off the floor and into a cupboard that I came out of. I shut the door quietly and wait for them to leave. Oh, now what am I to do? Then all of a sudden, I get knocked over by a vacuum cleaner in the cupboard and I push through the cupboard door and fall out on to the floor. I see familiar faces but they don’t look as though they recognise me. Maybe I don’t know them after all? I stand up and brush off after bruising my knee and hitting my head on the floor. The owners of the house say to me, “Who are you and why are you in our house?” they screech at me.

“My name is Ellie and I wounded up here because I fell into the hollow of a tree, before I knew it, I was sliding down through this huge pipe and ended up falling out of the cupboard.” I reply.

“Oh, well that explains everything. You will be welcome to stay at our place until you find your way back home.” They say surprisingly. We talk for a little while more and turns out that they are my parents and this is my house. I wonder why they don’t remember me. Oh well they will remember me by the morning. When bedtime comes they come up and show me where I will be sleeping for the night and it is my room. I am finally home, well, not really.

Once my ‘parents’ are asleep, I sneak out the window to see if any of my neighbours remember me. I bubble out of the window very smoothly and hit the ground. I go around to the front of the house to find my neighbours houses, but when I get there, there is nothing but wood and green. Where did all the houses go?

In the morning I wake up ready to get my parents to remember me. I ask them if they have any kids themselves and they say that a child has never really stepped a foot in this house. But they did once have a child, and her name was Elouise, one night she ran away and never returned so they moved house and they said that if they do have another child, they won’t let  that child leave the house without one of them with her/him ever! Maybe I have travelled into the past and that happened to me. I am the child that was never allowed to go anywhere without one of my parents.

I am the restricted child!

The End!

There is the last chapter, I hope that you liked it!

Until next time,

My Adventure Story Week 9!

Hi Everyone,

I am very excited to present to you chapter 6 of my story, but first here is a quick recap as to what happened in the last chapter. Ellie had a dream that she was in an ancient burial ground and when she woke up she was. She had to find her way out of this place but she was practically trapped in there! Then she finds a little light coming from a hole in a sack of hay and pushes herself through. She ends up in something that she calls fairy land, but how does she get out? She sees a fairy and decides  to go and ask her for directions but….

The options were:

a) The fairy is evil

b) The fairy can’t hear her like in the animal village

c) The fairy ends up being good and helps her

You all voted for b, the fairy can’t hear her like in the animal village.

Here is the next chapter, I hope you enjoy:

Chapter 6

She doesn’t look all that helpful but I am very desperate and you should never judge a book by its cover, so it’s worth a try…. I go up to her and tap her on the shoulder and she flinches. She turns around but she doesn’t seem to notice me. Her voice was high pitch and squeaky, she sounded very innocent and scared. I wonder what it wrong, I go up to her one more time and say ‘excuse me, but I was just wondering if you could help me find my way out of here.’ She takes no notice of me what so ever. How rude!

Then it hits me, maybe I could go back through the sack of hay to the ancient burial ground and fall asleep, like the way I got in here in the first place! I swivel back to the sack of hay, I plunge myself through it with a ginormous gallop. As I close my eyes, hopeful to know if it works and a little terrified if it doesn’t. This jump wasn’t a short bumpy one like I thought it would be like, but instead it was swift, slippery and long. I land with a soft and gentle stream. All of a sudden, instead of having tension in the air, I feel the lovely sensation of warmth and love, something that I haven’t experienced in a long time since I left home. I flicker my eyes open to see what wonders await for me, but when I do so it feels like my soul is being pounded with a mallet. I am crushed inside to find that there are no wonders that await me, but someone else’s living room. It reminds me of home and how much I miss it, but that is not my only problem. I AM IN SOMEONE ELSE’S HOUSE! I could be thrown into jail for this. The people that live here may think that I am a little girl in need of their help, OR they may think that I am a criminal, braking into their house! I hear footsteps approaching me. I scramble myself, up off the floor and into a cupboard that I came out of. I shut the door quietly and wait for them to leave. Oh, now what am I to do?

a)Ellie falls out of the cupboard and is exposed.

b)Ellie disappears.

c)Ellie gets sucked back to where she came from.

I hope that you all liked it and I hope you vote.

Until next time,

Bye!

My Adventure Story Week 8!

Hi everyone,

I am very excited to share with you chapter 5 of my adventure story. But first, here is a recap of what happened in the last chapter.

Ellie found herself sleeping against a large tree trunk. In her  dream she wondered off through to another land which this time was an ancient burial ground. She finds lots of weird things and falls into a ditch and gets knocked out. There she lays on the field of leaves as a helpless soul.

You were left with three options:

  1. She wakes up and she is in her home.
  2. She wakes up and she is in the ancient burial ground.
  3. She wakes up and she is in the hollow of the tree.

You all voted for number two, she wakes up and she is in the ancient burial ground. So here is chapter 5.

Chapter 5

I get knocked out. I lay there, as a helpless soul. Then all of a sudden, I wake up and realise that it was just a dream, except the only thing different is that I am no longer leaning against the tree trunk, I am in an ancient burial ground like in my dream. Is that even possible? It is really different than what it looked like in my dream. There is no princess statue and there isn’t anywhere to go. As I look down I see three thick layers of leaves beneath my feet. It is dark in this place and it’s really scary. I try and look through the foggy mist of darkness that is around me as I see a sprinkle of light, shining blindingly on a sword. It is like in my dream except instead of a septer I see a silver sword, as sharp as a spear, ready to cut through the thickest and hardest layers. I reach out towards it (like in my dream) and grab it. It makes a loud and piercing noise, as it screeches towards me. I have got to find my way out of here; otherwise I could be stuck here forever! What am I going to do?

I start to search for a way out of this place and find my way home. I look down in doubt, when I see a trickle of light spreading out across the floor. I follow it to where the light is smallest to see if there is an opening. I peer through a large sack of hay where the light seems to be coming from. Through the sack of hay I see a whole new world. It is like somewhere I have never been before. I can tell a whole new adventure lies ahead. This is a land like no other, what people would usually call ‘Fairy Land’. It is full of cotton candy clouds, soft white unicorns with rainbow horn, rainbows and fairy princesses. This may be the best land you can come across because you will be able to communicate, there are lots of other people and it isn’t stranded. But it is probably this worst land I have come across. Everyone I talk to will be happy and when I ask for directions out of here they will say “Why do you want to leave, stay with me here in fairy land forever!” and I don’t want to hear that. I climb through the bag of hay, eager to see what this place will be like from the inside. I climb through stretching the hay bag as I squeeze tightly through it. I tumble inside this strange land that I will most likely never find my way out of. I fall to the ground with a hard hitting ‘THANG’. I pull myself up and brush of my knee. It was a little hard considering that it was pulsing with blood. I could feel the strange sensation of beating as it throbbed, getting more and more painful. Well, I guess that I just have to ignore it and move on to finding my way home. I limp towards a strange looking fairy with a black eye and ripped clothing. She doesn’t look all that helpful, but I am very desperate and you should never judge a book by its cover, so it’s worth a try….

  1. The fairy ends up being evil.
  2. The fairies can’t hear her like in the animal village.
  3. The fairy helps her and ends up being a good fairy.

I hope that you all liked it! Hope you can vote!

Until next time,

Bye!

My Adventure Story Week 7!

Hi everyone,

So here is my next chapter in my story. But first just a quick recap on what happened in the last chapter. ‘Ellie decides to climb through the hollow of the willow tree and ends up in an animal village. She then figures out that the animals can’t see or hear her so they would be no use to help her find her way out of the village. Then she finally finds her way out only to find that….

The options were:

1) She was in a different place.

2) She is back home.

3) She is back in the jungle where she started.

You all voted on number one, she ends up in a different place.

Here it is:

Chapter 4

I go into a tree that I see in the middle of what looks like a park. Then I finally see a hollow in the tree. I quickly climb through desperate to get out and then I find that…. I am in a different place! It is strange and small. It is like a forest. Not like the one I started off in but different. It is scary and gloomy out here.

I am so confused. Maybe the whole world is made up of Willow trees that take you to different lands. I wonder which willow tree I live in. Wait a minute… how will I find the willow tree to take me back to my house? What am a going to do now? I could be stuck here for the rest of my life. What if I never get back home? I am terrified. I feel guilty in my stomach and my legs are trembling.  I am in confusion. Then all of a sudden, I hear a loud crashing sound, like glass cutting through my skin. It is very unpleasant and scares me. I no longer know what to do. I think that I am just going to sit here for the rest of my life and sob, waiting for someone kind enough to find me and help me get home. I close my eyes and go to sleep.

Running! Far away from the danger that lies behind the tree. I heard the despicable purring/roaring of what could be a big hungry tiger, laying low and waiting to feast on its prey (ME!). I run as fast as I can, looking for a new hollow in a tree. I slice my way through vines and bushes, trees and fields of leaves lying across the brown sandy dust. I quickly find a hollow in a tree and climb through. This time I end up in a different place. It is nothing like the animal village or the peculiar looking jungle; it is more like an ancient burial ground. I see a statue of a girl who must have been a princess. The statue is made of stone and is covered in a blanket of moss and mould. She is wearing a big puffy dress and a rusty old crown.

I move on and keep going through the brown leaves of thick dirt and muck. Taking a few steps forward I slip. I go through the dirt leaves and into more dirt. I land with a thump, knees first. I stand up, dusting all the dirt of me and trying to clean up before I go any further. In front of me floats a septer with a red ruby in the claw of it. I reach in to grab it – like everyone does in all the movies when they are on a quest – stretching my arm out to the handle, as I touch the shield it blew me away. The sound of it was so loud and horrifying that it sounded like a gun shot. It rippled as my hand was thrown back, flinging me away.

I get knocked out. I lay there, like a helpless soul.

  1. She wakes up and she is in her home.
  2. She wakes up and she is in the ancient burial ground.
  3. She wakes up and she is in the hollow of the tree.

Hope you liked it and will vote!

Until next time,

Bye!

Skateboard Artwork!

Hi Everyone,

We have just finished one fantastic topic in art and it was called skate art! We all designed skateboards to make it look like street art. We all had to display a social comment on our skateboards. I did ‘Don’t let the little things bug you!’. It is saying that you need to enjoy all that is good in life and not worry about the future or past becuase you can only live once. It means to not let the tiny things in life get in your way and to live life to the fullest!

Here is a picture of my skateboard:

So remember, have fun and enjoy life now rather than worrying about the future, and ‘Don’t let the little things bug you!’.

I hope you like my skateboard!

My Adventure Story Week 6!

Hi everyone,

This week I am presenting to you chapter 3 of my story. But first here is a recap of what happened in chapter 2. Ellie decides to sneak out of the house to find paradise and ends up in the jungle. She meets a tiger but it doesn’t notice her and then the tiger jumps into the hollow of a willow tree. Then I think to myself I should….

The 3 options were:

  1. She follows the tiger into the tree
  2. She gives up and goes home
  3. She keeps going through the jungle to find paradise

The most votes go too, a, Ellie follows the tiger into the tree.

Here is chapter 3:

Chapter 3

I then think to myself that I should….follow the tiger into the jungle, maybe I will find paradise in the hollow of the willow tree, you never know what lies ahead until you are there. I have made up my mind. I quietly float into the hollow of the tree, only to find absolute darkness. Not one glimmer of light. Not one glimmer of hope. I then think that I should get out of the tree because clearly it doesn’t lead anywhere, and just go home. I turn around to exit the tree, when I find that there is no exit! I’m TRAPPED! What am I going to do now? I could be in this little tiny hollow of a tree, trapped with a tiger, although I don’t feel it or hear it. Maybe I should keep going forward I see what else there may be. I feel my way through with my hands. I feel bumps and curves and cuts and many different textures. Finally I see my glimmer of hope, light. I don’t just see a light, amazed from head to toe; I see a whole new world. It is full of colour and joy. It is the paradise that I thought that it would be. It is amazing, but there aren’t any people in the world, just animals. I wonder why? Maybe it is another secret world only for emergencies. I wonder if anyone else knows about this place. Well, there is only one way to find out; I go and explore. I get up and wander around the place. There are lots of weird things in the land, like cats and dogs working a food stalls or birds giving tours of the place the cat family. And then it catches my eye, the tiger I followed, but I don’t think it recognizes me.

I go up to one of the cat’s food stalls and ask it for directions to the way out of here, but the cat takes no notice. I go up behind it and tap it on the shoulder and the poor thing got a jolt of fright! But it didn’t seem to see me. I then try at a few other stalls and the same thing happened. I wonder why they can’t see me. Maybe they can only see animals and not humans. Anyway, I keep exploring. This is an interesting land and there is ought to be something that will be awaiting my arrival. I run through the mysterious land and look for a willow tree. If I do find one, it will certainly be the exit out of this place because the longer I spend in this place the less it seems like paradise. I run through bushes and shrubs, climb through every tree I find to see if there is a hollow in it and there never is. I am now of a frantic search to get out of here. There are so many strange that aren’t even able to be described, all there is to describe it is strange. I am now thinking that I should just forget it and wait to be found by a person.

I go into a tree that I see in the middle of what looks like a park. Then I finally see a hollow in the tree. I quickly climb through desperate to get out and then I find that….

  1. I am in a different place
  2. I am back a home
  3. I am back where I was in the jungle

I hope you all enjoyed chapter 3. I hope you can vote.

Until next time,

Bye!

Choose your own Adventure Story Week 5

Hi everyone,

I am very excited to show you all my second chapter of my story. So just for a recap I will quickly go over what happened in the first chapter. Ellie is the main character and she loves to run, but her parents think that running is bad for her because she always wonders off. So she then decides that she will run away and find paradise, a place where she feels safe and happy. One night, though, she was wondering when she would leave. Was she going to leave that night, the ext morning or will she not go at all.

Chapter 2

I finally decided that I would….leave tonight. So I pack some food, some clothes, a bottle of water and some rope and self-defence. After I finish I head for the bathroom to brush my teeth before I go to ‘bed’, when all of a sudden I hear the screeching creaks of the floor boards piling on top of each other as my mum steps closer and closer to my room. I jump into bed and put my blanket all the way over me so my mum doesn’t see that I am not dressed for bed. She said that she just came to check on me and say good night. So she kissed me on the cheek, said good night and headed back down the stairs. I then try to stay awake for a few hours, so I can sneak out after they are asleep. While I was waiting, I wrote a note that explained everything to my parents and what I am going to do. So when I go downstairs to leave I will put it on the dining table.

Finally my parents went up to bed and I went down to leave. I place the note on the table and unlock the door. I flick the leaver and it unlocks, then I twist the lock and it swirls unlocked. The door is now unlocked so I squeaked and leaped outside.

It was cold and breezy outside. It felt like I was finally free. It was dark out here too, and I am scared of the dark, who knows what is out there in the dark, when there is no one around you. But I push myself to keep moving forward, because it will only get better from here. I take a few steps and a noise, what could it be. The noise was high pitch and whiney. Another few steps and another noise. This time it was more like rustling in a tree or a bush. What could these noises be? I take a few steps forward to find that the high pitch squeaking noise was a little chipmunk calling out to his mother. I then keep on going determine to find out what the rustling noise was.  I then stop, and I hear it again. All of a sudden, I then see a big tiger jump out from the bushes. It was big and looked like a male from what I could see but it also looked like it had no black stripes. Instead they were white on the orange fur of the unusual tiger. I flee, out of the tiger’s way and into the jungle. I have always been afraid of the jungle but this time I am more afraid of the tiger. I run as fast as I try to get away from the unusual tiger. I climb up a tree, hiding in the ruffled leaves. The tiger doesn’t notice me in the tree; he can’t see me at all, not anymore. He turns around and jumps into the hollow of the willow tree. At first I can’t believe what I have just seen. Was this magic or what? Is it possible to even do that? At this point I don’t know what to do, should I follow the tiger, should I keep going through the jungle to find paradise, or should I just turn back for home?

I then think to myself that I should….

  1. She follows the tiger into the tree.
  2. She keeps going through the jungle to find her paradise.
  3. She gives up and goes home.

That’s all from me for this week, so I hope you liked it and will vote on which option you want.

Until next time,                                                                                                                                                                                         Bye!
